Student: So...was Martin Luther King President?
Me: Was Martin Luther King Junior a U.S. President? No. He was an 'American Hero' but he was not the President...We talked about him last week, remember? We listened to his famous speech.
Student: (Annoyed) Yeah, but, my History question says, 'What President freed the slaves?' but since 'Martin Luther Whatever' wasn't ever President then the question is obviously messed up ---Or is the answer Obama?
